Hello and welcome to The Daring Cardmakers blog!
We are a team of card-makers from the UK, mainland Europe and India who'll try to inspire and encourage you to make some wonderful cards.
Every Friday at about 10am UK time, one of our design team will post a new dare/challenge, along with our creations to get you inspired.
So go on, give it a try - we dare you!
Leave us a comment with a link to your card so that we can view your lovely creations too!
Hi everyone it's Sharon here this week. Firstly thanks to everyone who joined in with our fab glittery challenge last week, we loved seeing your sparkly creations.
This week I want to see cards using only Two Colours - mean I know! Your background or card base counts as one colour, so you need to think creatively. To give you some ideas, here are the fabulous cards from the design team:
Shabneez here and to begin with a big thank you for joining in with May Elemental Challenge last week - weren't the elements Joanne chose just gorgeous?
This week it's my turn to set my first ever challenge - how exciting! Those of you who know me, know I love a little sparkle and bling in my life and of course I had to incorporate it into the challenge I set.
So, with the theme of 'All That Glitters Is Not Gold' I would like to see you use glitter on your cards - the more the better!
It can be in loose form, tape, card, washi, whatever you fancy but bring out that sparkle!
I'm loving all the inspiration the Design Team have provided this week. Please do check out their blogs for more information on what they used to create their sparkly cards.
Thank you for joining in with us this this week.
Please leave a comment as well as your link as we love to hear from you!
Check the sidebar for info on how to join us on Facebook - we'd love to see you there.
Are you ready to kick off the long weekend with some crafty inspiration?
Before we get to the details, thank you to everyone who played along with Miri's fab patterned paper dare last week - here's hoping it made a dent in your paper collection. :D
As for this week's challenge...
Did you know it's National Superhero Day over in the US today?
Well, I thought it was the perfect excuse to use it as inspiration for this week's challenge.
Your challenge, should you choose to accept it, is to feature anything from well-known characters from the comic book and movie world on your card or make a card dedicated to your own hero or super person in your life.
