Fantastic Felties

Hi Everyone!
It's Nat here welcoming you to another Friday and another dare here on the blog.
Thanks to all those who joined in with the fab sketch dare last week.

This week I want to see you get creative with felt.
I just love the stuff but seem to always do the same old same old with it... so I'm really looking forward to seeing what creative ideas you come up with.
You can use felt to make your own handmade embellishments (even include some threading and beading if you're feeling energetic), use some pre-made felties, or even raid the accessories sale bins for something unique to add to your project!

And if you're still stuck for ideas, why not check out the felty ideas on Pinterest.
Happy creating!

Here's what felt-a-licious projects the design team came up with this week:

Our Ribbon Reel Winner (Please scrioll down for this week's challenge)

We've used the random number generator at random.org and checked that the Darer selected had kept to the rules - you'd be amazed at how many people didn't and therefore missed out on any chance of winning the wonderful prize shown above and donated by our wonderful sponsor
Click HERE to visit the shop
We're happy to announce that the winner  is
Congratulation, Helen - please email us at dcm_enquiries@hotmail.co.uk with your postal inforamtion and your lovely prize will soon be on it's way.

Special Offer:
For all those who entered our challenge last week but didn't win the prize there is still the chance to own the same pack of ribbons and trims at a special "Darer's" price.  Check back to last Friday's post for the code you need to enter when you place your order at The Ribbon Reel - we look forward to seeing lots of those goodies on cards you share in the future.
This offer is only available to those who entered a card for Rein's "A Little Bird...." challenge and only while stocks last.

Our thanks to The Ribbon Reel for offering such a fab prize and for offering all our Darers the chance to buy at such a special price

Sketch Challenge

Thank you to every single one of you who joined in with our Ribbon Reel dare last week - obviously the sight of all that yummy-scrummy ribbon really inspired you to have a go....
If you're hoping to win the prize, please keep your fingers crossed for just a little while longer while we do the random draw and check that whoever it comes up with adhered to the rules - we'll be back soon to announce the lucky winner.

Well, it all got a bit chaotic around Daring Central this week, so we had to jiggle our calendar just a bit and instead of the planned challenge (that one will be along in a few weeks time), we have a sketch challenge for you this week. This is the October "2Circles2Go" layout idea from The Sketch File - so don't forget to add your link there too!
You can make any card you like - and you can shrink, twist, turn the sketch upside down if you want - just as long as the layout is all there for us to see.
Most of all, have fun!
Please come and leave a link and a comment (we do like to hear from you!) so we know where to find your creations.
Here are some ideas from the team to start you thinking, but come back and have another look because there are sure to be late additions!

October's Flowers: Calendula and Cosmos

Thank you all for joining in with Lythan's "Ooh La La and Wunderbar" challenge last week - what a lot of different languages and ways to feature them we saw on our journey around the world of crafting blogs!
We hope you'll join in again this week with the next in our series of
"Flowers of the Month" challenges.

The Birth Flowers for the month of October are

We'd love you to join in and play along with us, and we are really looking forward to seeing what you create, so please remember to come and leave a link and a comment when you're ready to share.
