Wish Upon A Star

Thank you everyone who joined in Leo's creative Origami challenge last week.
Hello, it's me Zuzana back here with a new dare for you!

  'Wish Upon A Star'

Do you like watching the stars in summer? I believe everyone does! My favourite are meteor showers. You don't need any special equipment. Spread a blanket on the ground and look up into the dark night sky.

Now, I would like to see stars on your cards. Create a project with a universe or astronomy theme, fairy-tales, sports, birthday stars, music rock stars, stars on the flag ... whatever you fancy!
Here are some fabulous inspiring designs from our Design Team.

Origami

Thank you to every one who joined in with Sharon's Light as a Feather challenge last time. Stay tuned to see who the winner of the prize from Stampin' Up! demonstrator Sarah Keerie will be.

It's Leo here to bring you a new challenge and for this week we're turning to Japan for our inspiration and more specifically to the art of paper folding,
Origami
I'd like you to use either something inspired by Origami on your card or to have a go at making your own Origami embellishment. There are lots of online tutorials to look at with lots of different origami designs perfect to use in paper crafting so it's well worth having a go. If you need more inspiration to kick start your imagination take a look at what the design team have cooked up, (and folded up!) this week. Have fun!

Light as a Feather

Hi everyone, it's Sharon here.   Firstly thanks to everyone that joined in with last week's challenge, we were amazed at the great football related ideas you came up with.

My dare this week is:
Light as a Feather
As feathers seem to be on trend at the moment I'd like to see feathers on your card somewhere - and you don't have to take it too literally - you could think a bit beyond the feather and feature a whole bird!

As an extra bonus this week we have a fabulous prize to give away!   All you need to do is join in with the dare and we'll pick someone randomly next week to receive the prize.

This week's prize is generously donated by Sarah Keerie, an independent Stampin' Up Demonstrator.  She's offering the Hip Hip Hooray card kit to one lucky winner (or a stamp set to the same value).

Sarah has a blog full of inspiration and details of Stampin' Up's products (www.esellek.com), and she also has an online store - www.sarahkeerie.stampinup.net)

So even more reason to join in this week!    If you need some inspiration to get you going, look at these lovely ideas from the DT:

A Game of Two Halves

A huge thank you to all who joined in with Miri's fantastic colour challenge last week, the cards submitted were beautiful and it was fun to see how the colour combo was used in so many fantastic ways!

It's Jo here with this week's dare and I would like to dare you all with a footie themed card;

The DT have come up with some beautiful cards to inspire, can't wait to see what you create!

(this might help explain why the card is football related. The motto has been changed to "Overcome Age")

May colour challenge

Thank you for taking part in Nat’s "It’s elementary" dare last week. It was fun to spot the different objects you used.

It’s the first Friday in May today and I, Miri, picked this colour palette for you.

It’s called “mental vacations”. Isn’t that a lovely word?!

I hope you’ll be inspired by the colours and have a mental vacation while creating a card for our dare.

Here are the cards from the Design team members.
